Ama-gi: 8

Ama-gi (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Ama-gi is a Sumerian word expressing the emancipation of slaves and release from peonage through the cancellation of debts. Literally translated, it means "return to the mother," inasmuch as former slaves were "returned to their mothers, (i.e., freed)." Although historians note that the meaning of the term is closer to "freedom," and point out that it is related to traditions of public debt relief like the Jewish jubilee, many libertarians believe it to be the first written expression of the concept of liberty.
The cuneiform spelling ama-gi has been adopted as a symbol by several "liberty"-oriented groups. The journal of the Hayek Society at the London School of Economics, the largest libertarian student group in England, is titled Ama-gi. The symbol is used as a logo by the Instituto Politíco para la Libertad of Peru, and another version is a trademarked logo of the publishing firm, Liberty Fund.

Things are starting to move.: 9

After more than three years of trying to regularise the affairs of the AEN it is finally happening - The new directors have been recorded in the CIPRO files and we can now formalise the new goals of the organisation - which I view as reducing the role of the state in the lives of individuals. Exactly how this will be achieved are for us to deliberate and put into action. I believe that this can best be done in a particular area.

The participants do not necessarily have to be Libertarian, the "Government"  will act as a body corporate of a complex and have libertarian leanings which will find its way into the rules of conduct of the complex.

Grace: 10

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7NcTCfnJAY&feature=fvsr

Grace

As we gather in the chapel here in old Kilmainham Jail
I think about the last few weeks: Oh will they say we've failed
From our schooldays they have told us we must yearn for liberty
Yet all I want in this dark place is to have you here with me.

Chorus

Oh Grace just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger
They take me out at dawn and I will die
With all my love I place this wedding ring upon your finger
There won't be time to share our love for we must say goodbye

Now I know it's hard for you, my love, to ever understand
The love I bear for these brave men, my love for this dear land
But when Padraic called me to his side down in the G.P.O.
I had to leave my own sick bed, to him I had to go

Chorus

Now as the dawn is breaking, my heart is breaking too
On this May morn as I walk out my thoughts will be of you
And I'll write some words upon the walls so everyone will know
I loved you so much that I could see his blood upon the rose.

Chorus x 2
